WICHITA, Kan. – Haley Ward made history at the 2026 KCAC/SAC Women’s Wrestling Championship on Friday afternoon. With an upset, 11-1 tech fall, Ward became just the second conference champion in program history.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Returning to competition on the mat, Haley Ward took second place in the Gold 207 class at the Grand View Open on Saturday, while senior Alexis Hatfield came in sixth in the Gold 110 division as Avila had two placers at one of the premier events of the season.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – In the program’s lone dual tournament of the season, Avila women’s wrestling had a strong showing at the KCAC/SAC Duals on Sunday. Despite missing four regular starters, the Eagles went 2-3 on the day with one loss coming by just four points.
