SOFTBALL HAS FIVE ALL-KCAC SELECTIONS, THREE FIRST-TEAM
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Another great year for Avila softball saw plenty of postseason honors roll in. The Eagles had five total All-KCAC selections, with three representatives on the All-KCAC First Team, two All-KCAC Third Team selections and two Gold Glove winners.

COTTON GETS 300TH CAREER STRIKEOUT, WHILE HEASTER HELPS SOFTBALL SPLIT WITH YORK
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila softball wrapped up the KCAC portion of its regular season on Tuesday afternoon, splitting with York. The Eagles lost to the Panthers in game one, 6-2, before coming back to win the second game, 3-1 thanks to dominating pitching from Faith Heaster.

TWO RUN-RULE WINS ON SOFTBALL’S SENIOR DAY
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila softball could not have honored its seniors much better on Saturday at The Z, sweeping Sterling, 11-0 and 10-2, with both games ending in five innings. Across the two games, Avila recorded 20 hits, seven extra-base hits, 12 stolen bases, while 14 different players scored at least one run, 11 different players drove in at least one run and the Eagle offense put up at least one run in all nine innings in which they came to the plate.
