KANSAS CITY, Mo. – One of the fastest-growing sports in the country will now have a program in Kansas City. Avila University is introducing women’s flag football as the school’s 18th varsity athletic program, with play beginning in Spring 2027.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In his second month on the job, Avila head football coach Ed Warinner is rounding out his initial coaching staff.
Avila football introduced Ed Warinner as the program’s new head football coach on Tuesday afternoon in front of the Warinner family, local media, fellow coaches, students and Avila faculty.
Warinner returns to the area where he spent five seasons at the University of Kansas, including serving as the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator on the Jayhawks’ 2008 Orange Bowl team.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Following a junior season in which he ranked No. 15 nationally in tackles, Avila linebacker Joshua Robinson was selected to the All-KCAC Third-Team Defense, the conference announced today.
