CLOSE SECOND SET NOT ENOUGH AS WOMEN’S VOLLEYBAL LOSES AT OTTAWA

OTTAWA, Kan. – Women's volleyball's losing streak extended to four on Wednesday night, with a 3-0 loss at Ottawa.

The Braves took the first set handily, 25-15 but Avila put up a fight in the second.

The Eagles hung around for most of the second frame, never trailing by more than five while not letting the Braves run away with the set, ultimately falling 25-21.

Ottawa took the third set 25-14 to wrap up the match.

For the Eagles, Da'Mya Dickson notched 15 assists, giving her back-to-back games with 15 or more. Additionally, Sydney Owens (10) and Sophia Giorgio (17) recorded double-digit digs. For Giorgio, her final dig gave her 750 in her Avila career 

Avila will be back in action on Friday afternoon, taking on Sterling at 3 PM inside Mabee Fieldhouse.
