KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Wrapping up their second season and continuing to grow, Avila tennis lost to Sterling on Saturday afternoon. The women fell 7-0 while the men had a few big wins, losing 5-2.

The Avila men got a huge win in #1 doubles from Axel Scott and Daniel Lozano, 6-4, wrapping up the campaign of one of the best doubles pairs in the KCAC.

The Eagles also got a big victory in #6 singles from Ben Drinkwater, winning 6-0, 6-2 to put an end to his stellar season.

Ending their season with a small roster, the Avila women fought hard, losing each of the four matches they played, highlighted by a close 2-6, 5-7 match from Alaeyah Chleborad in #3 singles.

Continuing to grow after a successful first season and an even stronger second year, the Eagle tennis programs continue to look ahead to the 2026-27 season shortly.
