MELTON AND WRIGHT NAMED ALL-KCAC HONORABLE MENTION

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila forward Madilyn Melton and guard Marlie Wright were named to the All-KCAC Honorable Mention team, the conference announced today.

Melton, a 6-0 junior forward from Louisburg, Kan., led Avila with 14.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season, playing in all 28 games.

Wright, a sophomore from Greenfield, Mo., was second to Melton in points (13.2) and rebounds (5.0), while leading the Eagles with 3.3 assists per game and 2.4 steals per contest.

From Jan. 25-Feb. 15, Wright recorded three or more steals in each of those seven games. She finished her season with three 20-point games and her 2.4 steals per game were the second-most in the KCAC.

Melton finished the season No. 10 in the KCAC in points per game and her 7.1 rebounds were ninth-best in the conference.

Additionally, Melton wrapped up her season with eight double-doubles for the 2024-25 season.
