MEN’S WRESTLING DOMINATES YORK
YORK, Neb. – With the help of six opens in the dual, Avila men's wrestling defeated York on Thursday, 52-4.
The Eagles departed Nebraska with three victories against the Panthers, including a pair of pins and a major decision victory.
Raul Romero opened the matches in the 125-pound class with a fall in just 58 seconds against York's Travis Reidy.
The next match was Aiden Pina in the 133-pound division, who majored Hector Holguin, 13-5.
Avila's third and final victory of the night came from Kristjan Marshall in the 157-pound class. Marshall won via fall over Conner Thurston in 2:58.
Avila picked up 36 additional points from six York forfeits in the competition to finalize the dominating 52-4 scoreline.
