MEN’S WRESTLING DROPS DUAL TO NO. 10 SAINT MARY

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – A weekday dual saw Avila men's wrestling travel across the state line to take on one of the NAIA's top team, No. 10 Saint Mary on Thursday evening. The Spires would come out on top, 38-12.

The only victory the Eagles saw came in the 184-pound match, with Avila senior Kendric Gordon winning via fall over Saint Mary's Tanner VanScoy.

Avila's Tyler Johnson, Ryan McNeel, Terrell Carter-Williams and Joe Juitt each lost by major decision while Sullivan Ruiz and Blake Becker lost by fall.

Avila has the weekend off before hosting its first home event next Saturday, Dec. 14 in the Eagle Duals at Mabee Fieldhouse at 11 AM.
