MEN’S VOLLEYBALL BATTLES IN TOUGH TEST AGAINST NO. 3 PARK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila men's volleyball faced another big test on Tuesday, losing in three sets to No. 3 Park at Mabee Fieldhouse.

Avila's best set came in the opener, falling to the Pirates, 25-20.

Avila got the first two points of the set prior to a 10-1 run from Park. The Eagles would continue to battle all set, never trailing by more than seven for the remainder.

Trailing 21-13, Avila got seven of the next 11 points before dropping the first set by five.

Park took control for the remainder, winning the final two sets, 25-15 and 25-13. 

Avila is back at home for three games this weekend, beginning with a single game versus Missouri Baptist at 7 PM on Friday night before hosting a tri on Saturday against UHSP and Central Christian.
