LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – Avila men's soccer picked up a loss after surrendering three goals in a three-minute span late in the second half on Wednesday at Saint Mary, falling to the Spires, 6-0.
The hosts scored twice in the first 20 minutes of play in the midweek matchup as Avila was unable to register a first-half shot.
The second half is where the Spires put the game away, scoring in the 64th, 83rd, 84th and 86thminutes.
Avila was never much of a factor in the contest, only managing two total shots, compared to St. Mary's 33.
The Eagles return to The Z for their final two home games of 2025, facing McPherson on Friday and Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday.
