MEN’S SOCCER LOSES TO YORK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Unable to produce anything offensively, Avila men's soccer fell to 1-2 in the conference with a 3-0 loss to York at The Z on Saturday.

Only putting up six shots – compared to York's 22 – the Eagles could not put anything in the back of the net on a warm day in south Kansas City.

York scored midway through the first half and entered halftime with a 1-0 lead.

In the second, the Panthers' Finlay Lee scored twice to extend the scoreline and put the game out of reach for Avila.

Avila was held back by five total yellow cards throughout the 90 minutes and only registered one shot on goal.

The Eagles continue their homestand on Wednesday afternoon, welcoming Ottawa to The Z at 3:30 PM.
