MEN’S SOCCER FALLS BACK TO .500 AFTER LOSS AT PARK

PARKVILLE, Mo. – Days after a thrilling, last-second, season-opening win, Avila men's soccer was unable to make it consecutive victories on Wednesday, losing to Park, 7-0.

The Pirates scored three times in the final 20 minutes of the first half and then ended the second half with four goals in the remaining 20 minutes of play to finalize the 7-0 scoreline.

In a tightly-officiated game – with 27 total fouls called – Avila was only able to put up six shots in the contest, compared to 27 from Park.

The Eagles will open the home portion of their season – albeit away from The Z – on Saturday at 3:00 PM from the Paragon Star Sports Complex in Lee's Summit, taking on Northwestern.
