Erick Burzanko is in his first season as Avila's Offensive Coordinator/General Manager/Wide Receivers Coach.

Coming with Warinner from St. Thomas University, Burzanko spent the previous seven seasons with St. Thomas, his final four as the running backs coach and Director of Player Personnel, where he coached three all-conference members and an All-American performer with the Bobcats.

Burzanko made an indelible mark with the Bobcats’ ground game, coaching Rontavious Farmer, who ended his collegiate career second in NAIA history in career rushing yards. Farmer also wrapped up his time as the state of Florida’s all-time collegiate rushing leader.

The St. Thomas rushing attack produced at least 1,600 rushing yards in each of Burzanko’s four seasons – including two seasons with more than 2,300 ground yards.

Additionally, Burzanko led the St. Thomas women’s flag football program for five seasons, leading a nationally-ranked program to two Final Four appearances.
