CHEER FINISHES SECOND AT PARK INVITATIONAL

PARKVILLE, Mo. – Getting into competition early in the season, Avila cheer got off to a solid start, finishing second at the Park Invitational on Friday afternoon on the campus of Park University.

In a competition that featured seven schools from the Midwest region, the Eagles came in second with a 78.4 score, ahead of every team besides Missouri Valley.

The Eagles had early-season mistakes but still scored and placed well in the competition.

Avila will head to mid-Missouri next Saturday for the Cougar Classic in Columbia, Mo., before hosting their the Eagle Invite at Mabee Fieldhouse on March 1 at 11 AM.
