CHEER PLACES THIRD AT NCA NATIONALS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After months of training and two intense days of competition, Avila cheer placed third in the Advanced All-Girl NAIA field at the 2025 NCA Nationals on Friday.

The Eagles finished in third place, behind perennial powers Brenau University and University of Cumberlands.

Avila's final score of 83.7458 was barely two points behind second place Cumberlands' 85.975. The Eagles finished five points clear of fourth place Missouri Baptist and more than 16 points ahead of Rocky Mountain College, who finished fifth.

In the Thursday prelims, Avila also finished in third with a final tally of 20.9083.

The third-place finish from the Eagles comes less than a month after the team placed third at the KCAC Championships.

The future is bright for Avila cheerleading. Head Coach Julia Kramm has a young squad, built with a majority freshman and sophomore roster. After top-three finishes in the KCAC and NCA Nationals, the Eagles are primed to grow in the future.
