Boyd Pitkin begins his fourth year at Avila in the 2026-27 academic year as the Eagles Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Eligibility. Pitkin is in charge of compliance and eligibility for all 18 varsity programs as well as leading all gameday operations throughout the calendar for the Eagles.

Pitkin has more than 30 years of NAIA collegiate experience, including 22 as the head baseball coach at Briar Cliff University, where he amassed more than 500 wins as head coach of the Chargers and was a two-time GPAC Coach of the Year.

Pitkin was the recipient of the 2025 Robert E. “Ish” Smith Achievement Award, an award given to individuals who demonstrate unselfish devotion to the promotion of NAIA baseball throughout a distinguished career.

Pitkin and his wife, Annette have two children, Faythe and Brody.
